We all know it's wonderful to have friends and by joining The Friends of Pocklington Arts Centre (PAC) at Oak House, you can make even more friends whilst supporting a worthwhile venture in your local community.
The Friends of PAC are a dedicated group of people who come from all walks of life and differing ages, but share a common interest in supporting the Arts Centre, rather than simply attending performances, they enjoy actively being involved.
With over 270 members; our aims are to promote the Arts for all, to actively support the Pocklington Arts Centre, and to make a difference!

If you are someone who believes that having a thriving theatre and cinema in your town where young and old enjoy watching films, see plays, laughing at comedians and discovering a wide and diverse range of music and art - then you are already half way to becoming a Friend. You can be involved socially - meeting people in a friendly atmosphere, or in active volunteering, it’s up to you

Help Us Make A Difference
In order to continue the success of our venue; to help keep the Arts alive, and to make a difference in the local community; we invite you to join the Friends of PAC. Please print out and complete the application form, and you will receive confirmation of your membership shortly afterwards

Can You Help With Volunteer Activities?
Remember: You do not need to volunteer…..But some of the Friends of PAC give a few hours of their time each month, helping with a wide range of interesting jobs, such as working on the box office, the bar and in the auditorium showing people to their seats and taking responsibility for their safety whilst watching a performance.
Other Volunteer Activities Include:-
- Leaflet or poster distribution
- Ideas and help for fund-raising events
- Organizing Coffee Mornings and trips
The 300 Club
Each month the Friends hold a 300 Club draw where one number is drawn from those held by the club members (the members need not be Friends of PAC). In return for paying L1 per month, the lucky winners each month receive a sum in ratio to membership numbers. You have an excellent chance compared to the National Lottery. Contact the box office for further information.
