Events for Wednesday 17th of October 2012
Brian Tiffany & Fiona Fitzgerald
The
paintings are about colour relationships and the impact that they have on Brian
as he works on them. Each color applied affecting all the others already in
place. The shape, placement , size and strength of each new color being some of
the things to ponder on as the work progresses. Fiona Fitzgerald
assembles richly marbled, textured vessels and wall shields; using rolled, torn
coloured clays. At the moment these abstract forms have an increasingly
architectonic feel to them.
Fiona will be holding a ceramic workshop on Saturday 6th October 10 -

Andy Fairweather Low & The Low Riders
Andy Fairweather Low’s
pedigree is the stuff rock dreams are made of. He first came to prominence at
the vanguard of the new youthful expression of music as the lead singer in Amen
Corner. The 60s saw them clock up hit after pop hit. Songs such as Bend
Me Shape Me, Hello Suzy, (If Paradise is) Half As Nice are
internationally remembered to this day. This show is a unique and superlative
musical evening. Anyone who saw the band
opening the shows for Eric Clapton last year or Robert Cray in
the summer will agree with crowds from Glastonbury and Trowbridge
Music Festivals or Colne Blues and Cambridge Rock festivals
that this is one show you will not want to miss.
