Jean Boswell, 79, is a great-grandmother and cancer survivor who has successfully turned a lifelong love for painting into an award winning hobby.
Now the former market trader brings her latest exhibition, featuring some of the most picturesque landmarks and scenery that York and North Yorkshire has to offer, to PAC.
One of the most eye catching pieces, amongst the exhibition of 32 mostly oil paintings and 29 prints, is Jeanís panoramic painting of the scene as the Tour de Yorkshire passed through St Helenís Square, in York back in 2015.
It also features colourful scenes from across the region including Scarborough, York, Burnby Hall and Gardens, Helmsley, Thornton Le Dale, the Hole of Horcum, Rosedale, Staithes, Hutton Le Hole and Robin Hoodís Bay as well as portraits of her family and friends.
