The People Of Pocklington Canal

2018 marks the 200th anniversary of Pocklington Canal and to celebrate the milestone PAC has teamed up with the Canal & River Trust and Pocklington Canal Amenity Society to host a very special exhibition from Tuesday 19 June to Thursday 2 August.

The High Wolds is a collection of monochrome photographs showcasing the hidden beauty of the Yorkshire Wolds taken by Simon Palmour.

Simon, who is from York, has been a photographer for over 35 years with this work having been exhibited at a number of prestigious venues, including the Royal Geographical Society.

Over the past 15 years Simon has taken his photography in a more abstract and monochrome direction, focussing more on textures, buildings and landscapes, including the 2017 Ambiguity Exhibition at Lumen, in London.

His latest black and white photographs will be collected in a book called The High Wolds which is due to be published later this year.
