John Wheeler From Hayseed Dixie
Best
known as the frontman and creator of Hayseed Dixie, the inimitable John Wheeler
is playing a small handful of select shows this November, in advance of the
release of his first solo album in early 2013. This set features both
Wheeler's new original songs as well as a selection of his favourites from the
past decade with his band, naturally all mixed in a peppered gumbo with his
highly individual offbeat observations and anecdotal humour. According to
Wikipedia, Wheeler describes his latest musical style as "jazz-punk
folk-funk."
