Welcome Back to PAC... we've missed you!

We have worked closely with the Music Venue Trust, Arts Council England, East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Pocklington Town Council to ensure we have all of the necessary safety requirements in place for your return to the venue. Our main aim is to ensure your visitor experience at PAC is safe, secure and enjoyable.

You will notice some changes when you visit the venue including:

  • Protective screens on the box office and bar
  • Hand sanitising stations throughout the building
  • Covid safety signage
  • One-way system at the box office
  • Contactless payments at the bar & box office
  • Medical grade air purifiers within the auditorium
In view of the new government guidance (December, 2021) the wearing of face coverings within PAC, including in the auditorium, is now mandatory unless you have a medical exemption. These new arrangements will remain in place in line with government review periods.

The only exceptions to this are for those who are exempt from wearing face coverings, those under 11 years old, and when eating or drinking during your visit. If you forget your face covering, complimentary masks are available from the box office. If you are not exempt, then refusal to comply with this new arrangement will mean you will not be permitted access to PAC.

Our ventilation and purification systems, especially within the auditorium, are extremely effective, so you shouldn't feel concerned about the presence of people who are exempt from wearing face coverings. Everyone is welcome and our intention is to provide as comfortable and safe a visit as possible. We have taken this step for a number of reasons, most importantly in response to significant volunteer and audience feedback. We are also concerned about the increased risk to our performers and colleagues and want to do all we can to ensure we do not find ourselves in a position of having to cancel performances and disappoint audiences.

All PAC staff members undergo lateral flow tests prior to entering the building, and whilst not mandatory, we strongly encourage you to do the same to protect yourselves as well as fellow audience members, venue staff and performers. PAC staff will still be working under extraordinary circumstances, despite the easing of some restrictions, and we politely ask you treat them all with understanding and respect.

We are determined that PAC will weather this storm and emerge from the situation more vibrant than ever. 2022 will see a wonderfully diverse range of live events being staged at PAC alongside a fantastic line-up of films, exhibitions, community events and private hires. Whilst we have been increasing the venue's online artistic output over the last year, we are very much aware there is no substitute to watching a live performance and sharing this experience with fellow audience members. Janet, James, Sara and the venue's Management Team look forward to welcoming you back to PAC in the coming weeks and months.

If you need to contact the venue regarding a ticket transfer and/or refund please email info@pocklingtonartscentre.co.uk and we'll get back to you ASAP.

Keep safe.

Best wishes
