Friday 19th March to Monday 19th April, 2021
21 by Sue Clayton
Sue Clayton is a portrait artist with a vibrant colour palette and a social purpose. Inspired by children and adults who have Down Syndrome – and especially by her energetic son, James – Sue once more seeks to celebrate and raise awareness in this exhibition, 21
Why 21? Each year on the 21st of March we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. People with Down syndrome have an extra chromosome (they have 3 copies of chromosome 21 - hence 21/3, 21st March!) and to support World Down Syndrome day the "Lots of Socks" fundraising campaign is a worldwide campaign run by Down Syndrome International. So join in your support and wear your odd socks on 21st March. To find out more visit www.downs-syndrome.org.uk
With financial assistance from the Friends of Pocklington Arts Centre.
This is an outdoor exhibition taking place at All Saints Church, Pocklington. Please maintain social distancing whilst viewing the work.
