David Ford plus support

Award-winning songwriter David Ford returns to the road with an album of songs documenting the tumultuous year that was 2020. May You Live in Interesting Times is Ford’s sixth studio album and one that charts the rise of Covid alongside the decline of Trump. Recorded at home during the various stages of lockdown, the album captures the moment with Ford’s trademark blend of emotional eloquence and dark irony. After the imposed hiatus, this new incarnation of Ford’s innovative and ever-changing live show, described by The Times as, “One of Britain’s best”, promises to demonstrate just what happens when you shut a creative force in a room for two years.

David will be supported by the fabulous Annie Dressner.

Since moving from her hometown of New York City to the UK eight years ago, singer-songwriter Annie Dressner has been working on her craft and garnering rave reviews for her recordings and live performances. From her debut Strangers Who Knew Each Other’s Names, her EP East Twenties and her second full-length Broken Into Pieces produced by Nigel Stonier (Thea Gilmore), Dressner has gone from strength to strength, her songs delivered with a such a conversational ease that it often seems as if she is reading from an intimate letter set to music. Shire Folk called her latest “one of the freshest and most enjoyable releases of the year.” Her straightforward lyrical style, sharp ear for wordplay and crisp, lilting vocals offer listeners a front row seat to her stories. Her music has drawn comparisons to an up-tempo Mazzy Star or an understated Jenny Lewis.
