Vanessa Simmons

Composer and Pianist, Vanessa Simmons launches her summer tour, Landscapes for Piano, in Pocklington, where her journey began.

From her first performance, busking for charity in Pocklington as a young child, Vanessa has taken her classical music to festivals and concert venues across the U.K. She was recently commissioned by York Theatre Royal to write and perform a classical love song for their reopening.

The tour introduces a series of new soundscapes for piano, inspired by the natural world. This special concert at PAC is timed to mark her late mum's birthday so all profits will be donated to the British Heart Foundation in her memory.
